Clean energy assets are fundamentally safe and reliable when properly installed and maintained. But construction crews are under pressure to work faster than ever before. There are not enough O&M workers to meet demand.

Our co-founders, David Penalva and James Nagel, have logged thousands of hours on-site as field engineers and NABCEP-certified PV System Inspectors.

SolarGrade is affiliated with HelioVolta, a technical advisory firm founded by James Nagel and David Penalva. HelioVolta provides technical services to ensure renewable energy assets perform safely and reliably — today and for decades to come.
The HelioVolta team supports clients across the U.S. with field services that span third-party construction QA/QC, construction monitoring, milestone verification, third-party health audits, and failure root cause analysis. They also provide a full of suite of owner's engineering and technical advisory services.
