SolarGrade Named a Finalist in Nationwide Solar Competition

SolarGrade, a solar software that enhances and digitizes fieldwork was selected finalist at the American-Made Challenges software competition on April 22nd, 2022 in commemoration of Earth Day.
James Nagel, Co-Founder of HelioVolta and developers of SolarGrade expressed his excitement after the ceremony: “We are very happy and thankful for the support received, our goal with SolarGrade is to help solar professionals to be more efficient, effective, and consistent to provide cost-effective, high-quality asset care”.

The American-Made Challenges are a series of prize competitions, in partnership with the DOE‘s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), that are designed to incentivize the nation’s entrepreneurs to reenergize innovation and reassert American leadership in the energy marketplace.
The Solar Prize Round 5 Software Track offers $1.6 million in cash prizes over three progressive contests to competitors who are accelerating the development, validation, and commercialization of innovative solar software solutions that increase the competitiveness of the U.S. solar industry.
The finalists will present their technologies one last time at Go! Demo Day in September 2022. Ultimately, only two teams will win the final prize, each receiving an additional $200,000 cash prize and $50,000 support voucher to help them bring their technology to market.
